Volunteer Positions
Volunteer activities range from helping in the office with clerical duties, collecting and distributing furniture, to serving on the Board of Directors. Volunteers also help with fundraising events and marketing projects.

Data Entry Volunteers (Weekly 10hrs/week)
Consistency and accuracy are very important to this position. Attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information is a must. Duties include reviewing forms and inputting data from a variety of sources into Spreadsheets & Databases for tracking purposes. Volunteer must have the ability to prioritize and batch material for data entry. Regular duties include high volume data entry, and the generation of reports.
Bridging Historian/Scrap booker (4 hours/week)
Works closely with Bridging Staff to document events and services offered by Bridging. Duties include photographing events, capturing quotes from participants and volunteers, and compiling them in viewer friendly books. Skills needed are general photography, writing, and scrap booking.
Fund raising Coordinator (Weekly 20/week)
Works with internal and external parties to organize the various components needed to initiate, run and conclude major fund raising projects. Duties include coordinating schedules, activities, services, tracking progress, and results. This position requires excellent communication skills and extensive knowledge of database and project management software. Coordinator reports to Bridging Resource Development staff, project management or marketing partners.
Furniture Drive Captains (Weekends - As Needed)
Manages furniture drive staging areas. Greets and directs all donors, visitors, and media representatives. Captains ensure safe handling of furniture and related household goods, sign-in sheets, and issues Charitable Donation forms to Donors. Completes an intake form for the donations that come in during the furniture drive.
Furniture Drive Volunteers (Weekends - As Needed)
Works closely with managers in other organizations, updating policies and procedures for future furniture drives, proactive communication with community partners via telephone, e-mail, or regular mail; managing database records; drafting status reports on customer service issues; and supervising event staff. Duties include receiving and placing telephone calls to key participants and organizational management to help ensure a smooth furniture drive. Volunteers maintain solid relationships by handling questions and concerns with speed and professionalism. May perform data entry and use software applications. Also may require research skills to trouble shoot coordination problems. Excellent communication abilities are essential.
Hope Chest Crew (Every Friday Morning 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM)
Supports the Bridging Hope Chest exclusively. Crew may assist case managers with cartage to vehicles and completion of program forms and special distributions/disseminations. Additional responsibilities may include troubleshooting minor inventory problems, maintaining department database records, and serving as a liaison between case managers and the Hope Chest Coordinator.
