Founded in 2004, Bridging AZ is the first and only Furniture Bank in Arizona. A non-profit organization that provides families in need with the furniture and household items necessary to create a safe, comfortable and healthy home environment.
In the past 2 years Bridging AZ distributed over 100,000 items of furniture and housewares through social service caseworkers. Bridging has also furnished over 800 homes for the families living in our community. With just 3 fulltime paid employees Bridging supports over 100 social service agencies. Bridging's services are available to social service agencies ONLY.
Bridging charges a small handling fee for most furniture items. Household itmes are always free to employees of social service agencies through our Hope Chest program.
Furniture for your office:
Chairs $10, Desks, Tables or Lateral File Cabinets $25 each
Furniture for your clients $10 each:
Couch, Kitchen table, 2 kitchen chairs, Dresser, Mattress/boxspring, TV
All furniture distributed BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
Mattress Recycling Pilot Program
Bridging charges $15 per bed to recycle and keep mattresses out of the landfills. All beds would be inspected the beds in good or excellent condition would be sterilized, wraped in plastic and distributed to other nonprofit agencies for their clients. The others would be deconstructed and recycled see the concept website at www.azmattressrecycling.org. See CNN video on mattress recycling. Please note: we cannot accept king size beds at this time.
