A Brief History
Bridging the gap from empty rooms to a safe, comfortable, and healthy home environment.
While volunteering at a Valley domestic violence shelter Founder Jim Piscopo watched women rebuild their lives only to transition into a home with no basic furniture or housewares.
Piscopo realized people transitioning out of shelters needed a resource where they could obtain furniture and housewares, helping to continue their rebuilding process in their new homes.
Today, the Furniture Bank serves families and individuals from over 30 social service agencies that provide assistance with domestic violence, homelessness, life skills, job training and more.
